The Danish Naval Officer’s Dagger is a ceremonial dress dagger of Danish design and proportions. The handle is orange. The scabbard is brass with the image of a lion. This dagger was designed for the Danish Naval Officer Corps, but it has also been used by the Danish Army to a limited degree.

Three years later, Denmark adopted an army dagger for officers. A model for creating a Danish army officer’s dagger arr. 1910 served as a dagger, created in 1871 for officers of artillery and engineering troops.
Dirk arr. 1910, he served in World War II, although the word “served” for a country that fought for only 6 hours on April 9, 1940 and lost a million times (six orders of magnitude!) Less people than the Soviet Union sounds somehow loud.
This dagger is still in service with the Danish army.
There is nothing special to say about this dagger model – everything can be seen from the photographs. I will only note that the handles were made of ebony or ebonite. The shape of the handle is hexagonal, tapering to a crosshair, with rounded belts at the top and bottom.
Overall dimensions of the Danish army officer’s dagger arr. 1910:

total length of the dagger – 330 mm;
the length of the dagger in the sheath – 343 mm;
blade length – 215 mm;
blade width at the heel – 14 mm.

I will also add that in the same year, 1910, another model of the Danish dagger was the dagger of candidates for military doctors and veterinarians mod. 1870 – was additionally assigned to non-commissioned officers of the engineering corps of the Danish army. Until what year this model was in service in Denmark, it was not possible to get information.
